This year I decided to try my luck again with the creative works competition run by Aestheica arts magazine, and a few days ago was thrilled to receive an email telling me I was one of 40 finalists!
Of course now I've got to wait to see whose won out of that 40, but whats great is that I'm still going to be published in the annual which will go out on sale in December!
Very excited.
The work that is being published is actually photography work I did for one of my final A-level projects. I'm going to put it up on my favorite deviation box on my page.
Anyway that's my big news for now. I'm currently learning to weave at college with some decent results. At the moment I'm trying to decide on what I actually want to do with my weave- jewelery? art? object? or just fabric?
I'll get there.
Before I go here's the blurb for the Aesthetica annual, for anyone who would like to know a bit more.
Cool beans!
'The second Aesthetica Creative Works Annual explores the imagination. This book showcases artwork and creative writing from over 30 countries. The anthology contextualises the larger cultural framework by asking probing questions about the current state of affairs: the economy, globalisation, technology and the environment. Moreover it offers a platform from which to analyse the art we producing today. Its cutting-edge nature offers you autonomy. As the reader, this book provides an insight into our deepest thoughts, anxieties and aspirations. Art becomes the tonic for the modern world.'

Shall we hide this yogurt after having garliced it, or shall we hide it without garlicing it?
Thanks again!

Is this a dream? Is it real? Does it really matter?

It's cyanotype chemistry on treated cloth. I made a digital negative on transparency and scanned it in order to post it here. So...I suppose both, but the original process is chemistry. Sorry if that was too long!
